Resume:

The overall purpose of this intervention is to contribute to the efforts towards diverse and inclusive societies in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, where LGBTQ+ persons can participate to their full potential. This would ultimately mean equality for all regardless of SOGIESC, including equal protection under the law, access to services, non-discrimination, and political and economic participation in society. Furthermore, societal norms and values would be inclusive and recognise a diversity of SOGIESC. The key factor in changing the situation will be the LGBTQ+ community themselves. It is paramount that they find their voice and use it in regard to their local, national and regional communities and within their own LGBTQ+ movement. This intervention has formulated three objectives, which will contribute towards lasting improvements for the LGBTQ+ communities in in the following ways: 1. sMental wellbeing 2. economic empowerment 3 organisational capacity & movement building
