Resume:

The overall purpose of this intervention is to effectively transform attitudes towards and foster the inclusion of LGBTIQ+ communities into East African society. Societal norms and values would be inclusive and recognise a diversity of SOGIESC. The key factor in changing the situation will be the LGBTIQ+ community themselves. It is paramount that they find their voice and use it in regard to their local, national and regional communities and within their own LGBTIQ+ movement. This would ultimately mean equality for all regardless of SOGIESC, including equal protection under the law, access to services, non-discrimination, and political and economic participation in society. This intervention has formulated two outcomes, which will contribute towards a changed narrative of the LGBTIQ+ communities in KE, TZ and UG in the following ways: organisation capacity strengthening in effective and evidence-based advocacy and Artivism projects to change the LGBTIQ+ narrative through storytelling.
