Resume:

The overall purpose of the intervention is to provide instantaneous relief and immediate safety to LGBTIQ+ IDPs in Ukraine. Here we will support STAN and Insight to set up a shelter in Chernivtsi, which will be able to house max 20 persons at a time. Our assumption is that people will stay for around 2 weeks before moving either to a more permanent home within Ukraine or leave Ukraine to another European country. Subsequently, we assume the shelter will support 120 LGBTIQ+ IDPs over 4-5 months (4 months supported with this intervention, 1 months supported with LGBT+DK’s Queer Solidarity Fund). Secondly, we will provide humanitarian assistance in the form of NFIs and cash-based assistance to LGBTIQ+ IDPs who are relocating to safety. Here, we are not limited to Chernivtsi, but instead will support also people within other regions, and our assumption is that we can support around 140 individuals. Lastly, we will provide psycho-social support to support LGBTIQ+ IDPs.
